Qualcomm is seeking a WLAN Test Associate Engineer / Associate Engineer to work on Wireless Modem Technologies, Multimedia, IoT platforms, and Software Systems. As part of this team, freshers will contribute to Wi-Fi testing, embedded systems debugging, test automation, and protocol validation.
You will work on:
Wi-Fi technologies
Wireless modem features
Embedded test environments
Automation scripts
Multimedia and IoT platforms

• Participate actively in Wi-Fi software planning and development discussions
• Provide task estimations, identify risks, dependencies, and communicate status to managers
• Stay up to date with Wi-Fi standards, certification programs, and testing methodologies
• Develop high-quality test plans, test reports, automation scripts, and defect logs
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze and resolve technical issues
• Contribute to internal discussions related to architecture, planning, and feature improvements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Technical Skills
• 0–1 year hands-on experience in software testing and automation
• Good understanding of wireless protocols, especially:
• IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
• Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) specs: AP, STA, P2P, WPS, WFD, Co-existence
• Experience in Wi-Fi protocol stack testing on embedded platforms
• Strong understanding of software test methodologies
• Knowledge of chip development lifecycle, processor architectures, peripherals
• Solid debugging skills on embedded systems
• Tools & Technologies
• Experience with code management and bug tracking tools
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages:
• Python, PERL, TCL, Shell scripting
• Experience working in Linux test environments
• Familiarity with Perforce is a plus
• Soft Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
