Siemens is hiring a Software QA Engineer – Associate to work on Altair SLC, a multi‑OS data analytics product. The role operates in a shift‑left QA environment, collaborating closely with product owners and developers to validate new functionality. Responsibilities include exploratory testing, converting scenarios into automated test cases, designing and executing test suites, and ensuring robust regression coverage within a fast‑paced R&D setting.
- - Perform exploratory and functional testing across multiple operating systems.
- - Develop automated test cases, including scripted SAS tests with C++ wrappers, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- - Design, review, and maintain clear, well‑structured test cases with traceability.
- - Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, providing root‑cause analysis.
- - Collaborate with QA CoE partners (Automation, Security, Performance) to continuously improve product quality.
- - Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (B.E / B.Tech).
- - 1–3 years of experience in software QA/testing, covering both manual and automation.
- - Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC in Agile environments.
- - Proficiency in C++, Java, and SQL programming/scripting.
- - Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio or VS Code.
- - Familiarity with version control systems like Git/GitLab.
