AMD is looking for an experienced Design Verification Lead to join its hardware engineering team. In this role, you will lead the verification of advanced semiconductor designs and ensure that complex System-on-Chip (SoC) and IP blocks meet quality, functionality, and performance requirements before silicon production.
As a Design Verification Lead, you will define verification strategies, develop comprehensive test plans, build reusable verification environments, review verification coverage, and mentor verification engineers throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with design, architecture, firmware, software, and validation teams to identify issues early and deliver reliable products.
- Lead design verification activities for complex semiconductor projects.
- Define verification architecture and overall strategy.
- Review design specifications and functional requirements.
- Develop detailed verification plans.
- Build reusable UVM verification environments.
- Create SystemVerilog test benches.
- Develop directed and constrained-random test cases.
- Analyse functional and code coverage metrics.
- Debug simulation failures and functional issues.
- Identify root causes of verification bugs.
- Collaborate with RTL design engineers.
- Work with architecture and validation teams.
- B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, or Ph.D. in relevant engineering disciplines.
- Strong industry experience in Design Verification.
- Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Good understanding of digital logic design.
- Experience verifying complex SoC or IP designs.
- Knowledge of processor or graphics architectures is preferred.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
