Amazon is hiring Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) professionals to join its Financial Technology team in Hyderabad. This role focuses on building high-performance, scalable financial systems that support Amazon’s global business operations.

As an SDE II, you will design, develop, and deploy distributed systems using AWS cloud technologies. You will work on complex financial applications, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure systems meet high standards of reliability, security, and performance.

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy ownership, innovation, and solving large-scale engineering challenges.

• Design high-level and low-level software architecture for distributed systems
• Develop scalable and secure financial services using AWS technologies
• Build integrations for enterprise-level financial applications
• Improve platform performance, reliability, and customer experience
• Drive engineering best practices using data-driven decisions
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and Analysts
• Own systems end-to-end including development, deployment, and maintenance
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and security
• Continuously improve operational efficiency and system scalability

• Minimum 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• At least 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture
• Experience working on scalable, distributed systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and system design

• Mandatory Skills
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Experience designing scalable and reliable systems
• Understanding of distributed systems and cloud computing
• Preferred Skills
• Experience across full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment processes
