Calix is looking for enthusiastic fresh graduates from the 2024 and 2025 batches to join its Support Engineering and Quality Engineering teams as Graduate Trainees. In this role, you will support testing, automation, issue reproduction, and customer support tasks related to Calix cloud and access platforms.
You will work with microservices, cloud tools, testing frameworks, and automation tools while collaborating with global teams. This position gives freshers the opportunity to learn industry-level testing, engineering workflows, and software development life cycles.

• Assist in the manual testing of various microservices.
• Simulate data for testing and validation purposes.
• Develop tools and utilities for supporting cloud services.
• Write Python scripts to automate test cases.
• Identify bugs and report issues with detailed documentation.
• Work with developers to analyze, reproduce, and resolve defects.
• Participate in test planning, issue tracking, and review meetings.
• Perform regression and smoke testing before production deployments.
• Take part in daily stand-ups, review sessions, and weekly team calls with global and local teams.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Should belong to the graduating batch of 2024 or 2025.
• Must have a CGPA above 8.5.
• Candidates should have a strong understanding of software testing and development lifecycles.
• Passion for cloud services, automation, and testing.
• Ability to communicate clearly and document findings properly.

• Good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals and database concepts.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to write clear and concise bug reports.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of cloud concepts (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools like Jira for bug tracking (nice to have).
• Experience using API testing tools like Postman (added advantage).
• Basic Python programming skills for automation.
