Job Description
Wells Fargo is looking for an experienced Lead Systems Operations Engineer to support and enhance critical enterprise systems. In this role, you will monitor production environments, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, improve system reliability, and work with engineering teams to ensure smooth business operations. The position involves handling incidents, automating operational tasks, maintaining system availability, and implementing best practices for performance and security. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience managing large-scale production environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor production systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Automate operational and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.
- Manage system performance and capacity planning.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Support deployment and release activities.
- Maintain operational documentation and standard procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Linux or Windows server administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms and automation tools is preferred.
- Good understanding of networking, monitoring, and incident management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts or on-call support, if required.
