Siemens Energy is hiring an IT Service Professional for its Global DC HUB Hardware Operations team in Gurugram, Haryana. This entry-level opportunity is suitable for candidates with a background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field who want to build a career in IT service management and hardware portfolio operations.
In this role, you will support global hardware-related projects and requirements, maintain records in ServiceNow, coordinate with stakeholders and assist with onboarding audiovisual (AV) equipment into the company's hardware portfolio.
You will also help maintain technical documentation, track project progress and support continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with international teams.
This is a full-time position with hybrid working arrangements of up to two days per week, as stated in the job posting. Previous professional experience is welcome but not mandatory.
- Manage hardware-related requests and project records using ServiceNow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information for hardware demands and projects.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and document them clearly.
- Support the onboarding of new audiovisual (AV) equipment into the hardware portfolio.
- Track project progress, dependencies, risks and upcoming activities.
- Prepare and maintain documentation covering hardware products, configurations and operational processes.
- Assist with hardware portfolio reviews and monitor technology developments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in hardware onboarding and IT service management.
- Coordinate with international teams to support effective communication and collaboration.
- Help ensure hardware projects are properly documented and ready for operational handover.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a comparable discipline.
- An interest in IT service management, hardware portfolio management and audiovisual technologies.
- Previous work experience is an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms is beneficial.
- Good understanding of hardware technologies and industry developments.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with international teams.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
