Job Description
As a Software Engineer Intern (Wipro Connected Services), you will contribute to the design and development of software solutions. The role involves working closely with senior engineers and team members across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
You will gain hands-on experience in:
Writing functional and efficient code
Testing and debugging software
Participating in code reviews
Learning deployment processes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
The internship provides exposure to advanced technologies including AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Cybersecurity, IoT, 5G, and emerging digital platforms.
You will report to the Service Line Manager and work under mentorship from experienced technology and business leaders.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assisting in designing and developing new software applications
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Fixing bugs and troubleshooting technical issues
- Supporting testing and implementation processes
- Participating in team meetings and technical discussions
- Contributing to documentation and process improvement
- Collaborating with developers and stakeholders
- Building prototypes, proof-of-concepts (PoC), and innovative solutions
- Supporting development of platforms, products, and accelerators
- Learning and applying new tools and technologies
- Interns will also gain exposure to areas such as:
- Mobility Solutions

- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Eligibility Criteria
- Currently pursuing or recently completed B.E / B.Tech or related STEM degree
- Freshers are eligible
- Strong academic background preferred
- Basic understanding of software development concepts
- No active academic backlogs at the time of joining (as per company policy)
Skills Required
- Candidates applying for this internship should have:
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++
- Familiarity with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch (preferred)
- Basic understanding of SQL and database systems
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Familiarity with development tools like Git and IDEs
- Understanding of cloud platforms (optional but beneficial)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Candidates with exposure to AI/ML concepts, data visualization tools, or emerging technologies will have an added advantage.
