Job Description
Microland is hiring Engineer - Field Services (FIS) professionals to support customers with IT infrastructure and end-user computing services. The selected candidates will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, networking devices, and other IT equipment at customer locations.
The role involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, providing timely technical support, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all service requests are resolved according to defined service standards. Candidates should possess good communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the willingness to travel to different client locations whenever required.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Provide on-site technical support to customers.
- Perform preventive maintenance of IT systems.
- Install operating systems and required software.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Replace faulty hardware components when necessary.
- Document service activities and update support tickets.
- Follow company service and security guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams for issue resolution.
Eligibility Criteria
- BE/B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc, or Diploma in relevant disciplines.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of computer hardware and networking fundamentals.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for field support activities.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts if required.
- Customer-focused approach with a positive attitude.
