Job Description
As a Software Development Engineer at HPE, you will work on system software development, contributing to the design, development, testing, and enhancement of networking and platform software solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams and external development partners to build reliable, scalable, and high-quality software products.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance system software components, including:
- Operating systems
- Networking software
- Utilities, databases, and internet-related tools
- Implement code enhancements, updates, and fixes for assigned modules
- Execute defined test plans and testing protocols
- Identify, log, and debug software defects
- Collaborate with internal and outsourced development partners on software design and development
- Participate as a team member in software engineering projects
- Contribute to building cost-effective, reliable, and high-quality solutions for low to moderately complex products
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Or equivalent discipline
- 0–2 years of experience (Freshers eligible to apply)
Skills Required
- Understanding of software systems design tools and programming languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of software systems running on multiple platforms
- Basic understanding of:
- Coding
- Testing
- Debugging procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in English and local language
- Ability to work effectively in team-based environments
