Job Description
Google is hiring Software Engineer – University Graduate (2026) to join its world-class engineering teams in India. This role is open to fresh graduates who are passionate about building scalable software solutions and working on technologies that impact millions of users globally.
As a Software Engineer at Google, you will work on real-world problems across distributed systems, large-scale applications, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. You will collaborate with talented engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software products.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Candidates selected for this role will be expected to:
- Research, design, and develop software applications that enhance Google’s products and services
- Work on projects involving machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, data compression, and search technologies
- Collaborate with teams to address scalability issues related to large-scale data access and storage
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Participate in problem-solving and debugging complex system-level issues
- Continuously learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience or strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments
- Knowledge of distributed systems, networking (TCP/IP), machine learning, or information retrieval
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python
