Job Description

The Associate IT Support (L1 Technician) serves as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance. In this role, you will handle helpdesk tickets, provide initial troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.

The position focuses on resolving routine IT issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, network connectivity, and SaaS applications. You will work in a rotational shift environment and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth IT operations.

This role is ideal for candidates who possess strong logical thinking, communication skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • As an Associate IT Support professional, your responsibilities will include:
  • Responding to Help Desk tickets (Service Desk, ServiceNow, chatbot, calls) in a timely manner
  • Diagnosing and resolving common IT issues using knowledge base articles
  • Performing initial troubleshooting for hardware and software problems
  • Resolving operating system and network connectivity issues
  • Guiding users step-by-step to solve technical problems
  • Providing basic training on IT systems and applications
  • Maintaining detailed records of troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system
  • Managing user accounts in SaaS platforms such as Office 365 and ServiceNow
  • Creating, modifying, and deactivating user accounts
  • Managing user permissions and access rights
  • Providing support for Office 365 services (Email, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Escalating unresolved issues to L2 or L3 support teams
  • Participating in daily stand-up meetings and reporting issue status
  • Assisting with scheduled maintenance and smoke testing activities
  • Following standard operating procedures and escalation protocols
  • The role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • Preferably BE/BTech in Computer Science, MCA, or BCA
  • Freshers or candidates with 0–6 months of IT support experience
  • Basic understanding of helpdesk operations
  • Strong logical and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts
  • Candidates with relevant certifications such as A+ or similar technical certifications will have an added advantage.
Skills Required
  • To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
  • Basic understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service) concepts
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Service Desk
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, basic Linux understanding is a plus)
