Meta is hiring freshers for the position of ASIC Engineer Intern in Bangalore under its Infrastructure organization. This internship role is ideal for students pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
As an ASIC Engineer Intern, you will join a high-performing ASIC team that develops hardware accelerators for Meta’s data centers. These accelerators are designed to optimize large-scale workloads such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data processing.
You will gain hands-on exposure to advanced IP design and verification using state-of-the-art tools and methodologies. The internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced ASIC engineers and contribute to building energy-efficient (“Green”) data center accelerators.
This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to build a career in VLSI, chip design, and hardware verification.
- Develop tests, checkers, and coverage models to verify ASIC designs.
- Understand the architecture and microarchitecture of hardware designs.
- Write SystemVerilog, UVM, and C code to generate test content.
- Develop automation scripts to improve workflow efficiency.
- Debug test failures and collaborate with design and verification teams.
- Work closely with modeling teams to validate design functionality.
- Improve verification processes and contribute to methodologies.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Support performance optimization and design improvements.
- This role gives interns exposure to real-time hardware development projects used in global-scale infrastructure.

- Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Related engineering fields
- Strong knowledge of:
- Computer Architecture
- Digital Logic Design fundamentals
- Ability to think critically and creatively to verify hardware designs.
- Must obtain work authorization in India at the time of hire.
- Intent to return to degree program after internship completion (for students).
- Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree (M.E / M.Tech)
- Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Knowledge of:
- SystemVerilog
- Verilog
- VHDL
- Scripting skills in:
