CGI is hiring for the position of Apprentice – Automation QA in Bangalore. This opportunity is open to candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree who are interested in building a career in software testing and automation.
The Apprentice – Automation QA role focuses on supporting quality assurance activities, developing automated test scripts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This position provides an excellent learning opportunity for freshers to gain hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium, Java, and Python.
Selected candidates will work under the guidance of experienced QA engineers and participate in real-time automation projects. The role offers exposure to automation frameworks, CI/CD processes, defect management systems, and modern testing tools.
This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, Karnataka.
- As an Apprentice – Automation QA at CGI, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python.
- Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the automation testing framework.
- Participating in regression, integration, and functional automation testing.
- Collaborating with QA and development teams to identify and document software defects.
- Executing manual test cases when required.
- Preparing test data and supporting test case documentation.
- Contributing to continuous integration processes using tools like Jenkins and Git.
- Maintaining automation execution logs and preparing test reports.
- Learning and following industry best practices in quality assurance and software testing.
- This role requires strong attention to detail and a passion for software quality.
- Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Strong interest in software testing and automation.
- Basic knowledge of programming concepts.
- Good communication skills in English.
