Zoho is looking for passionate and security-focused candidates to join as Application Security Engineers in Chennai. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are interested in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and application security.

As an Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying security vulnerabilities, performing threat modeling, and ensuring that applications and infrastructure are protected from potential attacks.

• Conduct risk assessments and identify technical security risks across applications and infrastructure.
• Perform detailed threat modeling for applications, services, and cloud environments.
• Lead threat modeling sessions using frameworks such as STRIDE.
• Manage the full lifecycle of vulnerabilities from identification to remediation.
• Implement and optimize SAST (Static Application Security Testing), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), and IAST tools.
• Perform manual secure code reviews to detect complex vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts from intrusion detection systems and SIEM tools.
• Investigate suspicious activities and assist in incident response.
• Develop automation scripts using Python or Bash for security workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document security findings and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
• This role requires both technical depth and analytical thinking skills.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience can apply.
• Strong interest in cyber security and ethical hacking.
• Good understanding of secure coding practices.
• Candidates from recent batches (2022 to 2026) are eligible to apply.

• To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and Linux fundamentals.
• Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Knowledge of threat modeling methodologies like STRIDE.
• Hands-on experience or academic exposure to SAST, DAST, and IAST tools.
• Familiarity with security tools such as:
• Snyk
• Veracode
• Checkmarx
• Burp Suite
• OWASP ZAP
• Contrast Security
• Programming knowledge in at least one language (Python, Java, C++, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is an added advantage.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices.
• Ability to analyze logs and respond to security alerts.
• Good communication and documentation skills are also important.
