Job Description
As a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will design, build, test, and maintain software applications and system components. The role involves developing new features, improving existing products, identifying and resolving technical issues, and ensuring software performance and reliability. You will also work with technologies such as operating systems, databases, networking, cloud platforms, and web-based applications while collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain software applications by implementing new features and improving existing functionalities.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code while ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Test software components, identify bugs, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with software engineers, developers, and cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams and development partners to understand project requirements and contribute to product development.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Gain hands-on experience with operating systems, networking, databases, cloud technologies, and web-based applications.
- Contribute to building scalable, reliable, and cost-effective software products while following coding standards and best practices.
- Continuously learn new technologies and improve technical skills to support business and customer needs.
- Assist in delivering software projects on time while maintaining quality and performance standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience are eligible to apply.
- Internship, academic project, or co-op experience in software development will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of software development principles and programming concepts.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Golang, C, or C++.
- Basic understanding of Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, Microservices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms like Kubernetes, OpenStack, VMware, or KVM.
- Exposure to tools and technologies such as Docker, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, or Grafana is beneficial.
- Understanding of REST APIs or gRPC for building modern applications.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment tools like Ansible, Helm, or Terraform.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Willingness to learn cloud technologies, automation tools, and large-scale software systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
