Job Description

As a Technical Consultant at Hitachi, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to propose solutions, develop engineering models, work on consulting assignments, and support the delivery of technical projects.
You will contribute to power system studies, simulation models, and help customers solve complex engineering challenges.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong analytical ability, technical depth, and a passion for the energy industry.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Here are the major responsibilities you will handle at Hitachi:
  • 🔹 Technical & Engineering Responsibilities
  • Develop and propose technical solutions for clients based on engineering standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct power system studies, simulations, and performance assessments using tools like PSS®E, ETAP, EMTP, DigSILENT PowerFactory.
  • Support R&D efforts to improve tools, methods, and testing environments.
  • Contribute to design validation, model creation, and engineering analysis.
  • 🔹 Project & Delivery Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage project execution, timelines, and cost estimations to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Review tasks done by project teams, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with Hitachi Energy guidelines.
  • Track work progress, manage billing/invoicing, and ensure adherence to contract terms.
  • 🔹 Risk, Strategy & Customer Engagement
  • Conduct risk and opportunity assessments for each project.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Identify repeat business opportunities and support proposal development.
  • Participate in strategic consulting initiatives and contract negotiations.
  • 🔹 Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
  • Mentor junior consultants and guide them in technical tasks.
  • Represent Hitachi at engineering events, technical forums, and industry workshops.
  • Promote innovative thinking aligned with Hitachi’s values in sustainability, safety, and integrity.
Eligibility Criteria
  • To be eligible for this role, candidates must have:
  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related fields.
  • 0–4 years of experience in power systems engineering, design, or modeling.
  • Strong understanding of the power industry, engineering concepts, and energy systems.
  • Ability to work with customers in consulting-oriented environments.
