As an Assistant Engineer at Flowserve, you will be responsible for design drafting of valve components, layout preparation, and generating accurate Bill of Materials (BOM). You will work with engineering teams to ensure products meet design requirements and customer expectations.
This role requires strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to follow engineering standards to deliver high-quality work on time.

• Work on diverse and moderately complex engineering assignments under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Review inputs, understand the project scope, and complete drafting tasks as per customer requirements.
• Prepare accurate engineering drawings, layouts, design documentation, and reports.
• Follow Flowserve’s engineering standards, design procedures, and quality checks.
• Ensure all designs meet specifications, including form, fit, function, safety, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.
• Perform self-checking of all drawings before submission.
• Maintain consistent communication with internal stakeholders and provide timely updates on task progress.
• Support in maintaining technical documentation, file organization, and design records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Continuously enhance technical skills and contribute to innovation and operational excellence.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in design, drafting, or engineering operations.
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals and product design principles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical drawings and engineering documents.

• Strong expertise in SolidWorks (3D modeling) and 2D drafting.
• Good knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ANSI Y14.5 standards.
• Basic understanding of valves, pumps, or related equipment is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with assembly, repair, or servicing of pumps will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
• Team player with strong self-motivation and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with software like MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and professional conduct.
