Job Description

The Engineer Trainee role at Sopra Steria involves providing first-level support to external customers and assisting users with technical issues related to hardware and software systems.

Selected candidates will work as part of the help desk support team, where they will handle customer queries through phone, email, and chat. The role requires candidates to diagnose problems, provide solutions, and ensure that service requests are resolved within the agreed service level timelines.

Engineer Trainees will also collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues and ensure smooth functioning of IT systems. The role is ideal for fresh graduates who are interested in technical support, troubleshooting, and IT service management.

Candidates must be willing to work in flexible shifts and adapt to different working environments.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Candidates selected for the Engineer Trainee role will perform the following tasks:
  • Provide first-level technical support to customers through phone, email, or chat.
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Troubleshoot system-related problems reported by users.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical issues according to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Document support tickets and maintain accurate records of issues and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams for complex problem resolution.
  • Provide guidance to users regarding software and system usage.
  • Monitor system performance and report recurring issues.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Continuously learn and update technical knowledge.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates must meet the following requirements to apply for Sopra Steria Off Campus Hiring 2026:
  • Candidates must have a B.E / B.Tech degree in CSE or IT.
  • Only 2025 batch graduates are eligible.
  • Minimum 70% marks in 10th and 12th standard.
  • Minimum 60% marks in graduation.

  • Maximum academic gap allowed is 2 years.
  • Strong interest in IT support and troubleshooting roles.
  • Candidates must be willing to work in shift-based roles.
