Eaton is conducting its Off Campus Drive 2026 to hire freshers for the position of Associate Engineer – Mechanical at its Pune location. This role is part of the Sustaining Engineering (SE) function for GEIS commercial products.
The position involves working on products such as:
Cable trays
Wiring management systems
Mechanical fittings
Gratings
Pipe hangers
Seismic bracing systems

These products cater to both domestic and global markets. The role focuses on sustaining engineering initiatives, product improvements, cost optimization, and supporting manufacturing operations.

Candidates will be involved in Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives that contribute to business growth and product performance enhancement.

• As an Associate Engineer – Mechanical at Eaton, your responsibilities will include:
• 🔸 Sustaining Engineering & Product Support
• Work on multiple programs and projects related to Sustaining Engineering
• Identify and execute sustaining initiatives for existing products
• Support manufacturing plants and resolve technical issues
• Address customer queries and provide engineering solutions
• 🔸 Product Design & Development
• Own end-to-end SE projects including conceptualization, detailing, validation, and testing
• Develop CAD drawings, 3D models, and assemblies
• Release designs in PLM / ERP systems as per project timelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution
• 🔸 Structural Analysis & Simulation
• Deploy digital prototype methodologies
• Perform static and vibration structural FEA analysis including:
• Stress analysis
• Deformation
• Fatigue
• Modal analysis
• Harmonics
• Random vibration analysis
• Interpret and summarize FEA results
• Provide design recommendations based on analysis outcomes
• 🔸 Testing & Validation
• Support development of test plans as per IEC / UL standards
• Define test object requirements and instrumentation setup
• Conduct tests and validate simulation models
• Ensure correlation between simulation and physical test results
• 🔸 Collaboration & Innovation
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to define problem statements
• Understand system and component requirements (CTQs)
• Partner with team leads to create Intellectual Property documents
• Support cost and performance improvements through VA/VE initiatives

• Candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Degree: B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 0–3 years (Freshers eligible)
• Basic understanding of product design
• Knowledge or experience in sheet metal design
• Willingness to work from Pune location
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
