As an Associate Consultant – Software Testing (DEQ), you will be part of KPMG’s Data & Analytics / Technology Consulting team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and quality across ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and BI systems.

You will work closely with ETL developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders, contributing to high-impact projects that support enterprise decision-making.

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL and data integration processes.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks between source systems and target data warehouses.
• Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries for data verification, root cause analysis, and defect investigation.
• Collaborate with ETL developers and business teams to understand data requirements and transformation logic.
• Conduct system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, and performance testing for ETL workflows.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or HP ALM, ensuring timely closure.
• Ensure compliance with audit, governance, and data control standards applicable to enterprise data platforms.
• Support automation of ETL testing using scripting languages such as Python or Shell, or tools like QuerySurge and Informatica DVO.
• Prepare clear test reports and documentation for internal and client reviews.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Electronics, etc.).
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work on data-intensive and analytical projects.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
